HR and Finance Manager

VDA, an Experiential Event Design Agency based in Somerville, MA, has been in business since 1985. We’ve been recognized as one of the Top 100 Event Agencies by Event Marketer for the past three years and Best in Business by Inc Magazine for our community and industry engagement. VDA works on many types of local and nationwide events: meetings and conferences, branded activations, exhibit booths, corporate-themed events, and more.

We are searching for someone to manage all aspects of human resources with some other finance and office administration management responsibilities.

You will report to the Director, of Finance & HR.

HR Management Responsibilities:

  • Payroll
  • Administration of employee benefits programs
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Manage and implement onboarding, orientation, and training
  • Assist VDA employees with HR-related questions

Finance Management Responsibilities:

  • Supervise administration of financial transactions
  • Ensure GAAP compliance
  • Support the Directors of Finance and Operations with business management tasks
  • Maintain, develop, and implement effective administrative processes

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, or three years of progressively responsible experience
  • Proficiency with relevant software
  • Paylocity experience is a plus

This position is a full-time opportunity with some flexibility for remote and in-person time. Medical, Dental, Life & Disability Insurance, 401K, Profit Sharing, and PTO are offered. Compensation commensurate with experience and expertise.
